The book's genre is fantasy and it was written by Betty G. Birney. Humphrey is the joyful class-pet of room 26, one day his class wrote books, Humphrey even wrote a book to but he admitted that his book was not as good as the other kids and in honor of the class the writing books the class had a surprise on Friday spoiler it was an author and she came to room 26.The main character of this story is Humphrey and he is a ball of energy! He is sweet, funny and caring. He is also very positive, sure he might get sad but he calms down very fast. Two key events that happened and that “added” to the plot are that the class talks to Humphrey and Og even though they can’t talk and the class does not know that Humphrey can write. On page 2 Humphrey starts to repeat words he uses the word 3 times and an example is “Great-Great-Great'' but on pages 116 and 117 he begins to stop repeating words. One unanswered question that I have for the author, is “did Humphrey get his book read?” I liked the characters in this book because they are just so sweet also I really liked Humphrey’s writing ramblings I would recommend this book to animal lovers because this book is so good only because of the characters but… overall I would recommend this book please try this book if you like or dislike it you can maybe type a book review but if you didn’t get the idea or my opinion it is that this book should be recommended for younger children. Also, if you are a younger -reader or are just bad at reading or if you just love animals. but there is just one downside it’s TOO LONG … but please give this book a try!

Humphrey's eleventh adventure celebrates stories, writing, and the power of the imagination!
Imaginations are running wild in Mrs. Brisbane’s class, but Humphrey is stumped. His friends are writing about where they would go if they could fly, but Humphrey is HAPPY-HAPPY-HAPPY right where he is in Room 26.
It’s pawsitively easy for Humphrey to picture exciting adventures with dragons and knights in the story Mrs. Brisbane is reading aloud. He has no trouble coming up with Plans to help his friends and tricks to entertain them. His imagination even goes a little too far when he wonders if Carlos’s imaginary friend might be a ghost.
If only his imagination wouldn’t disappear when he tries to write. Luckily, Humphrey likes a challenge, and Mrs. Brisbane has lots of writing tips that do the trick.
