Lucy Wu is excited to have the best year of her life. Her know-it-all sister, Regina, is going off to college and Lucy will have the whole bedroom to herself. She goes out for captain of the sixth grade v.s. school faculty basketball game. Lucy and her friend Madison are going into sixth grade and will be the rulers of the school. But, her great year starts to fall apart when her great aunt, Yi Po, is coming and staying in her room, for a couple months! Then, her parents make her attend Chinese School with the annoying Talent Chang and faces Sloanne Connors, the cruel bully who challenges her in the captain of the sixth grade basketball team. Lucy's year is destroyed...or is it?
